How to Play
Goal
Answer as many questions correctly as possible and collect the most points.
Gameplay
Each round shows a question with 4 options. You have limited time to answer.
Points
Correct answer: 100 points + speed bonus (up to 50 extra). The faster you answer, the more you earn!
Winner
After all rounds, the player with the most points wins.
Strategy & tips
Read every answer before choosing. The most common mistake under time pressure is taking the first plausible option. In quiz questions the second is often the more precise one, because the first was placed as an obvious trap.
When you do not know, eliminate. Two of the four answers can almost always be ruled out confidently. Guessing among four becomes guessing among two, and your hit rate doubles.
Answer as soon as you are sure. Many rounds count time. Hesitating on a question you know gains nothing and costs points.

Answers are typed rather than chosen. Considerably harder, since elimination no longer helps.
Single topic
Every question comes from one field. Good for groups with shared interests.
Teams
Two teams confer before each answer. Slower, but much more sociable.

Origin
The quiz as a social format arrived with radio: question-and-answer shows became a mass phenomenon in the 1930s because they involved the audience actively for the first time.
Four options is not arbitrary but a compromise: with two, guessing pays too well; from five upwards, reading becomes too slow for a game with a clock.
